Outcomes of Early Years PreConference
• Build a sense of community among AGIS Early Years Educators
• Become familiar with a protocol for analysing students’ imaginary play
• Become familiar with a protocol for analysing students’ free play
• Gain practice analysing students’ imaginary and free play from video evidence
• Receive suggestions for your students’ next steps of learning from Early Years colleagues

Schedule:
09:30 – Coffee

10:00 - Session 1: Network Building
Participants introduce themselves. Participants share information (5 minutes) explaining the Early Years program in their school. The purpose is to build knowledge and a sense of community among the AGIS Early Years Educators. Successes and challenges can be shared and discussed.

12:00 – Lunch

13:00 - Session 2: Analysing Student Learning Through Their Imaginary Play
Participants share videos (up to ten minutes in length) of students in their settings engaging in imaginary play. A protocol is used to analyse what the students are able to do and their next steps for learning based on the video evidence.

15:00 - Coffee/Tea Break

15:30 - Session 3: Analyzing Student Learning Through Their Free Play
Participants share videos (up to ten minutes in length) of students in their settings engaging in free play. A protocol is used to analyse what the students are able to do and their next steps for learning based on the video evidence.

17:00 - End of Day
